FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between Venetian plaster, lime plaster, and limewash?

Venetian plaster offers a smooth, polished look with depth and light reflection—often resembling marble. Lime plaster is more natural and matte, with subtle movement and earthy tones. Limewash is a breathable, mineral-based paint that creates a soft, cloud-like finish. Each brings a different mood and texture to your space.

Where can microcement be applied?

Microcement is incredibly versatile. It can be applied to walls, floors, showers, vanities, countertops, and even furniture. It bonds well to most surfaces and creates a seamless, grout-free finish.

Are your finishes eco-friendly?

Yes. We use natural, mineral-based products that are low in VOCs, breathable, non-toxic, and safe for both you and the environment. Lime and plaster finishes are also naturally antibacterial and mold-resistant.

How durable are your finishes?

All of our finishes are crafted for longevity. Microcement is waterproof, scratch-resistant, and stain-resistant, making it the best choice for high-traffic and high-moisture areas. Venetian and lime plasters are also durable and age beautifully, especially with the right care and sealer.

Do you offer different sealer options?

Yes. We offer a range of sealers from ultra-matte to satin and high-gloss finishes—so every client can choose the level of sheen that suits their aesthetic and lifestyle.

Can these finishes be used in bathrooms or wet areas?

Yes. Microcement is an excellent choice for wet areas like showers and bathrooms due to its seamless, waterproof nature. Venetian plaster and lime plaster can also be used in these areas when sealed correctly.

Do my walls need to be prepared beforehand?

Yes, surface preparation is crucial. For Venetian plaster, lime plaster, and decorative coatings, the walls must be smooth, finished, and free of defects to ensure a flawless result. For microcement, we require stable surfaces like concrete board or HardieBacker board. We handle the necessary prep and base coats as part of our process to guarantee proper adhesion and longevity.

How long does the application process take?

Most projects take 4 to 7 days, depending on the finish and square footage. The drying and curing process is just as important as the application to ensure the best results.

How much does it cost?

Pricing varies based on the material, complexity, and size of the space. We’re happy to provide a personalized quote after a consultation or site visit.

Can you match a sample or create custom colors?

Yes—we can match existing samples or help you create a custom tone that complements your design vision perfectly.
